Emily Flax has written this helpful guest blog about her fantastic course ‘Be ready for baby by BABIES‘ which is based in Welwyn Garden City.
Be Ready for Baby by BABIES (Birth and Baby, Information, Education, Support) is a fun, practical and informative baby care course for expectant parents. The class is new to Welwyn Garden City.
If you are expecting a new baby, this course will help you learn about caring for your new baby. It is led by local mum, Emily Flax. Emily is Mum to 15-month-old Benjamin and a graduate of B.A.B.I.E.S!
Why book a course with B.A.B.I.E.S?
It’s hands-on
The class is very informative with lots of information and tips. The hands-on approach ensures that you grow in confidence. With life-size baby dolls, you will practice holding, feeding, burping, nappy changes, dressing your baby and much more! Ultimately, it is our aim is for you to finish the course with confidence. As a result, you know you can do all the things your baby will need.
Your peace of mind
The Be Ready for Baby course is accredited and quality assured.
Amongst the accreditations is the Department of Health CANparent Quality Mark. We are the ONLY antenatal class in the country to have received this. This organisation delivers “quality approved classes based on sound evidence.” In other words, the course content is current and of a very high standard.
Increased confidence
Our aim is for you to leave the course with increased confidence in your ability to care for your newborn. We get brilliant feedback from attendees saying that the course has achieved just that!
If we give you the knowledge and skills to meet your baby’s needs in areas such as feeding, changing and dressing, then you will be able to make informed decisions about your baby. It will also increase awareness of possible problems. – giving you the confidence to spot what is normal and what is not.
Babies finally come with a manual
Babies finally come with a manual!
All course attendees will receive our Be Ready for Baby Manual. This 60-page manual is packed full of useful tips and information. In addition, it includes a local directory for the area in which you live.
It includes everything covered in the course. If you do want to check anything when your baby arrives, you can look it up anytime you need to. This is can be helpful during those 2 am nappy changes!
It’s fun!
The course is relaxed and fun – we want to make you feel relaxed and enjoy it. We encourage you to get involved and with the practical demos, we get a lot of giggles!
The next session is being run on 3 March and 10 March, and we are now taking bookings. For more information please see www.babies.uk.com or email info@babies.uk.com
